In Apigee’s API Jam Module 1, we saw how to suppor the overal API lifecycle management for your APIs with Apigee Edge.
This module - Apigee’s API Jam Module 3 - is the second part of a hands-on workshop where you will delve further into the advanced features for API lifecycle management that Apigee Edge has to offer. In this module, you will walk through two lab exercises that will help you…
- route and load balance API traffic, and
- leverage Apigee API Monitoring to monitor API state, and alert against runtime API traffic.
We will also see, as part of a demo, the Hosted Targets feature that Apigee provides for NodeJS coding support on Edge.
Who should attend?
This workshop will be valuable to API developers, dev-ops engineers, architects, and anyone who wants to understand how to use advanced API management features on Apigee Edge.
What do attendees need to bring
- (Required for Virtual API Jams) Register for the session. Make sure to register for the Virtual API Jam so that we can send you the relevant connection details to join the online session.
- Browser (Chrome). A modern web browser like Chrome (v50+) to access the Apigee Edge Platform UI.
- (Required for Virtual API Jams) An Apigee Account. Create and activate your free Apigee Edge account prior to attending the workshop. You can sign up for one at https://login.apigee.com/sign_up. Ensure that your Org has been provisioned as part of your trial account.
- A basic understanding of Apigee Edge entities such as API Proxies, Apps, and Products. For a refresher of the API Management Lifecycle, please complete lab exercises in Module-1 here.
